ThinPrint

Connectivity

Embedded ThinPrint .print Client for HP Printers.

The ThinPrint Client for HP enables perfect integration of HP printers into a serverbased computing infrastructure with features such as bandwidth control, print-job compression and streaming support. The challenges of printing are often an overlooked element when deploying Citrix MetaFrame and Microsoft Terminal server solutions. Print jobs are not usually printed where they are created. Combined with the fact that print streams are expanding in volume due to higher resolutions, color and similar features of modern printers, printing becomes a serious bottleneck in the limited bandwidth of the LAN and WAN infrastructure.

ThinPrint´s primary function is to limit the bandwidth requirement for data streams in server-based environments. This helps to ensure effective quality of service (QoS).

How does it work?

The ThinPrint Client for HP is easily installed in the printer, where it integrates completely with user menus and internal print processes, thus allowing existing operations to continue unaffected. The solution brings the concept of ThinPrint a step further by eliminating the need to install and manage ThinPrint Clients on every thin client workstation or PC.
