KPAX Discover is a USB auditing key that allows printing professionals and end users to instantly collect information such as toner levels, device status and page counts on an entire printing environment.
Utilising the tabular or graphical interface, collected data can be quickly analysed giving a detailed insight on areas including volumes, costs and contracts.
Once complete, the export wizard allows data to be transferred to fleet optimisation software for full proposals to be prepared.
Manufacturer, Model, IP Address, Serial Number, Part number, Asset ID, Total pages printed, including mono & colour, total cost including mono & colour, Colour capability, Duplex capability, Laser functionality, Device type (MFP, copieretc...), Install date, Mac Address, Device status, Device alerts, Toner levels (black, cyan, magenta & yellow)
Average daily / monthly / yearly volume can be calculated from a single scan based on the install date
Easily see devices that have been added or removed between scans and also accurately project average future usage
Average daily / monthly / yearly costs can be calculated based on an average cost per page for both colour and mono. Average costs are defined either at a global level or at an individual account level
Data can be added manually directly onto the USB to include printers that are not available from the network scan
Additional data can be added using 50 customisable columns available either as text, integer, decimal or a date
Powerful search functionality allows filters to be applied, e.g only display a certain manufacturers devices, only show printers that are not under contract etc...
Built into the interface are two calculation rows - sum & average. These work with any column that contains a number and automatically refresh when the advanced filters are used.

Devices that are under contract can be analysed to estimate when is the optimum time for them to be replaced by analysing factors such as current monthly cost, early cancellation penalty & new monthly cost.

Collected data can be exported to a number of formats including CSV and Excel. The data can also be exported ready for import into fleet optimisation software such as KPAX Design, AssetDB & DocuAudit.
When selecting AssetDB as an export format, KPAX Discover exports the data and also the entire project structure resulting in a lot of time saved.
