We asked Patrick Johnson (Product & Solutions Marketing Manager – Low Volume Products & Low/Mid Solutions – Xerox UK) to give us his thoughts of the importance of selling solutions to enhance the overall Xerox offering.
In today’s marketplace customer requirements have been driven up to expect more from the equipment they purchase – to add value, help improve their business, be more productive & make use of today’s technology. To compete you need to differentiate with products, services and solutions. Bringing together complimentary solutions with an MFP is getting easier, with applications that extend and enhance the capability of the device. With my new role I have the opportunity to encourage the capabilities of bringing these two key elements together, by exploring solutions that can really add value & connect in exciting ways to position our products & add value. Whether the solution is adding scanning, routing, document management, accounting, mobile print or providing workflow to internal server or cloud applications, customers will be looking for that little bit more.
Xerox Mobile Print – Adding Value to Low Volume A4 Devices
The key to meeting the needs of today’s mobile worker is providing resources that allow them to do more with less. They’ve always needed to view and print documents such as spreadsheets, presentations, photos and PDFs, but now they need to be able to do this from the convenience of their handheld mobile device. And when printing from their mobile device, they also need to meet the many corporate requirements around security, network access and multiple print drivers.
That’s where the Xerox® Mobile Print Solution comes in. It makes printing from a mobile device simple, convenient and secure. The solution can be used from any smart phone, and does not require users to load additional software or search for printer information. The mobile worker simply emails his document to the organisation’s print server, he is then sent a specific job-code that releases, and then prints, his document from the secure server once the code is entered into a networked printer. No more frantically e-mailing a presentation for someone else to print or keeping track of memory sticks to print from on the go.
