There’s a lot of useful networking and knowledge to gain from attending vendor conferences and HP’s Channel Partner Event 2011 on 8th June was no exception. The Fontware team hot-footed to the Leicester Marriott for HP’s Unleashing the Power of IPG, a full programme comprising solutions fair, presentations and seminars.

Fontware has attended HP shows for a number of years now, gaining a valuable heads-up on business strategy and product development, and the opportunity to promote its own portfolio.
After beginning the day with the solutions fair, which continued throughout the afternoon, the programme moved on to the main plenary presentation on ‘Unleashing the Power of IPG’. A number of breakout sessions were also scheduled, delivering further detail and discussion on specific aspects of IPG.

The Fontware showcase primarily focused on Nuance Solutions and TROY cheque printers – with both firms also attending the event – plus the YSoft SafeQ print management system and BarDIMM and BarSTORM barcode products. As a further development, BarDIMM now supports FutureSmart printers, including LJ CM4555mfp, CM4540mfp and CP5520 models.

Fontware secured a number of new partnerships at the event, with particular emphasis on YSoft SafeQ . Its sleek, professional terminal has attracted much attention and the system is viewed as a strong contender in the market.
